A new season opens at Cascade Waterpark in Damazan

The season begins at the water sports center Cascade Waterpark at Lac du Moulineau. “The 2023 season was quite good. More and more locals are coming to enjoy the water ski lift in the off-season,” confides managers Christophe Journaud and Ariane Meunier. During the summer, the aquapark allows vacationers to enjoy themselves with their families. From Saturday April 13, Christophe and Ariane are back in action. During the month of April, the site will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays, and also from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Wednesday to Friday. In May, the opening hours will be the same, the opening hours will be one more day, Monday. These will expand from June and throughout the summer. For the convenience of customers, the terrace with refreshments was enlarged. The restaurant will be open at lunchtime offering home cooking and refreshments and a bar until the leisure center closes in the early evening. The structure of the ski lift has a 500 meter cable with 5 pylons and allows you to go around the lake and discover the excitement. There are different sliding machines as well as several modules depending on each person’s level. This year, the 14th module was added to the course. The ski lift is open to children from the age of 8, beginners and professional riders, of course. The ski lift team has qualified instructors. Paddleboards are also available to rent for leisurely strolls around the lake. To complete the activities, a new giant water park for young and old will be installed from July. These inflatable games floating on the waters can accommodate up to 120 people, last year it was only 30. To strengthen the harmony with nature, the transition to solar energy is underway, which will be 100% active during the season. The Cascade Water Park has received the “bike welcome” label and has joined the Évasion Sud-Ouest network, which brings together the region’s must-see tourist spots.
